Elementary and middle schools throughout the district offer students a wide-ranging selection of before, during and after school activities.  There is truly something for everyone!  Many schools offer students the opportunity to participate in clubs designed specifically around current student interest.  A sampling of activities includes:

ARCHERY Nearly every elementary and middle school offers an archery club or team for student participation.  Many of these teams have placed on local and state levels!  

BIKE ED Every school within the district offers a set of mountain bikes for student use in physical education.  Starting in 3rd grade, students participate in Bike ED in PE classes, learning the skills to ride safely.  Students are provided with a helmet to use each year in the program.  Additionally, many elementary and middle schools offer students both paved and soft surface biking trails!

CHESS CLUB Another popular club offered throughout the district – chess club! 

QUIZ BOWL Quiz Bowl teams are available for try-outs at all middle schools, junior high and high school.  Last year results for those teams:
  • NW Co-Op Area competition: Middle school division- Owl Creek/ 2nd place; McNair/3rd place;  Junior high division for Co-Op competition: WJHS/1st place; RJHS/2nd place; Regional state competition: RJHS/1st place; WJHS/2nd place

  • High School Quiz Bowl   State 7A Level competition:  Fayetteville High School/1st place


FIELD DAYS 
Popular events held in most schools every spring!  Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events from face-painting to track events.

DISC GOLF  Many schools within the district have Disc Golf courses for student and community use, and often teachers sponsor an afterschool club for competitive fun!
